The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest exchange program in the United States. It offers opportunities for students to pursue graduate studies and/or advanced research abroad. The program currently awards approximately 1,500 scholarships annually in all fields of study and operates in over 155 countries worldwide.
The program aims to provide U.S. students with the opportunity to conduct research at Chilean universities for a period of 9 months.

Proceso de Postulación
Applicants to Chile must meet the following requirements:
Level of Study: Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a graduate program (master’s or doctoral) at a U.S. university and possess an invitation letter from a faculty member or researcher at an accredited Chilean university. Language: A proficient command of spoken and written Spanish is required at the time of application.

Actividades
The purpose of the scholarship is to fund research stays at Higher Education Institutions and Research Centers in Chile for a duration of 9 months, from March to November. Extensions are not permitted.
The grant dates must align with the Chilean academic year. The program begins with an orientation session organized by the Fulbright Commission in Chile during the first week of March.
